When Henry VIII married Anne Boleyn in 1533 she was already pregnant with their daughter Elisabeth. So the nursery is already set up on the upper floor of this tableau and while the Nanny is waiting for the baby`s arrival, a troubadour is playing the lute. Whenever I have trouble finding accessories appropriate for the period, I have to make thme myself. The cradle and the lute were my first attempts in making miniature furniture. |
